DEKALB COUNTY - DeKalb County sheriff's investigators are working to iron out the details in a shooting that happened Wednesday night in the Ider community.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says Jerome Higdon, Leon Jones and two juveniles were coon-hunting around 7pm, on County Road 146 about 500 yards inside the DeKalb County line.

Wow, here it is Friday already! I see the weather forecast is changing for the better. Trouble is what do I do with it. I was getting my fishing stuff together and really would like to get my boat in order. The shad are heading this way on the annual trek up the Delaware River. Would at least like to get the water hooked up and run the motor to make sure its a go...Winter can be hard on a boat stored outside. Knock on wood she kicks over.

Well this is my first blog so please bear with me.

Last Saturday my father PA Ridge Runner and I decided to get up early and do some turkey scouting. We were out at daylight and right behind our houses, we walked the cut corn fields and found lots of scratching but heard nothing. As we were getting ready to head home I think we saw more than 200 geese heading north, what a sight and sound show they put on for us 2 goof balls out in the very cold and windy morning. I've found some programs that allow me to make some that move, etc. so I plan to change it again. Maybe bring in a Turkey Theme with the ever fast approaching SPRING TURKEY SEASON!!
