I use Windex soaked patches until they come out clean. Occasionally, I will use a brush first to do the job faster, but Windex will do the job just fine. Treat with oiled patch afterwards.
AJ, does the windex work for getting any plastic residue out, or is theer really any buid up from Sabats?
I have not really had any problem with plastic buildup in my ML. The Windex is great for removing the powder fouling. if you are worried about plactic fouling, use the bronze brush and go at it.
I treated my Rem 700 ML bore with Slip 2000 last year and it worked prety well. The fouling cleaned pretty easy, and it protects the bore.
If you are using 777 powder than I do the same windex treatment as AJ. When I used pyrodex I used TC #13 for cleaning. A good scrubbing with a brush before you put it away for the season doesn't hurt it any.!

i use tc arms #13 cleaner and i also use the tc arms presoaked cleaning pads for my encore and it cleans them very clean and i use the remington oil spray type on my barrel and then dry patch it out and will dry patch it before i am ready to load and set up for hunting

I shoot Pyrodex (made by by Hodgdon) in my T/C Renegade. So far I found the best for cleaning Pyrodex is the one made by Hodgdon just for Pyrodex. It was called Pyrodex EZ Clean. It is now called Knight EZ Clean. I have tried a few and I have found nothing so far that works as well. I am curious about Windex after reading this thread and may give it a try. But I do love the EZ Clean.

I start off with some Hoppe's. I swap the barrel until it is pretty soaked. I then take the wire brush and give it a pretty good going over.
After that its back to the Hoppe's again until I start to get clean patches. I then dry the barrel and use some Remoil. I on occasion will also swab a little bore butter.
