I've got smoke residue on the bottom of my scope, right above the nipple where I put the cap. I'm sure its from the cap but I need to know what to use to remove it. Thanks in advance, Greg

I have Butler Creek covers on all my scopes. They have the quick release covers on them, I really like them, even have them on my x-bow. !! Pretty cheap for the protection they give you. I don't prefer the see-through rings because they raise the scope higher than I like, but many use them. You can use Rem. DriLube on the scope , or something similiar for added protection.

I got a couple of Buffalo Bullet Scope Protectors for my Pyrodex guns. Another thing you can do is put a layer of black tape on the bottom of the scope.
Hey, thats pretty neat. I haven't seen anything like that before. What should I use to get off the residue? Solvent or what? I haven't tried anything except a damp cloth as of now and that didn't work well. Let me know. Thanks,Greg
Go easy with the solvent around the scopes adjustments. If solvent gets inside, it can eat the O-rings and cause nitrogen leak, which means fogging can occur.
