there should be no problem at all with the primer and the closed system fo the encore. i wouldn't worry about the rain at all and when you get to yru spot just load up the primer and wait for old mossy horns. i have been in the rain and if you keep your barrel down you should not have any problems either and remember to to use a good dry cloth and soem oil for the outside fothe encore including the trigger and hammer artea but as long as the load and barrel stay dry you will be fine also

First off welcome to the forums.

You should be fine. I lay my ML action side down in my lap and have sat through some serious downpours while ML hunting. I have not had any problems with the gun not going off. I have never used a muzzle mit. I would definately remove the unused charge and do a thorough cleaning after that days hunt. T/C guns rust when you say the word moisture, so definately dive it a good going over and be sure its dry and properly lubed (breechplug) when you put it all back together.
