    Default Changing powders-what to expect?

Had been shooting pyrodex rs, 120 grains loose powder from my black diamond. Bought some amrican pioneer powder the otehr day to give a try. Was thinkig I would start at 100 grains and work my loads up from there in 5 grain increments until I find the optimum load. My question is if the ffg's are the same, shoud performance be similar with equal amount of powder?

Sounds like plan - I think you're going to have to shoot it see if there is any difference.

I'd would start out using 90 grain (Volume) and go from there. I've never used amrican pioneer powder, but I think it is very similar to "777" powder which is a little hotter than pyrodex powder.
