Thread: Nikon Scope

    Default Nikon Scope

How well will a Nikon Pro staff scope hold up on a .50 caliber muzzleloader? Also what do you guys think about the durability of a Weaver K4 or K6. I have an old K4 on my muzzleloader and it seems to be a good scope.

Sure it will. I had an old Bushnell on a .50ml for years. In fact it went from a .30-06 to the .50cal, to a .22, back to the .50cal. It was getting really old and still held zero. I let it go with a gun.

Nikon makes a decent scope so you shouldnt have any problems.

I've got one on a 25-06, which kicks harder than my ML and I've had no problems. It's the best $150 scope you'll ever find IMO.

    I have a Nikon Buckmasters 3-7x40 on my Encore.muzzleblaster.
I also have 2 more Buckmasters and also a Pro-Staff
I think they are great for a great price also. I doubt if I will ever try a different brand over Nikons.

I just went with a Nikon Buckmastewr scope today, on my Omega 50 cal. I liked the heavier cross hairs for low light conitions..
