    Default shooting question?????

I am a bowhunter who is new to muzzleloading. I bought a TC encore and have a shooting question. When I am shooting how do I line up the sites? The rear sight has 2 fiber optics and 1 on the front, do I take a fine bead at the botton of the groove or do you line up the front and rear sight so all three are straight across? Please let me know what you guys do because I am going to shoot and sight in my encore this next weekend. Thanks....

I shoot open sights, with all 3 points straight across. When Aiming, I have the area i want to hit, or the bullseye of the target so it looks like it is sitting on top of the front bead. honestly, I think any sight picture you scoose will work as long as you use it consistently. Are you allowed to scope a ml'er where you hunt?

I do know many guys that use the same method as Tedicast but I use a different method. I place all site beads in a horizontal plane yet I place the center bead just below the precise area I want the bullet to strike.

Very much like a bow, how its done doesn't matter as much as doing it the same way shot after shot.

Bingo! As long as its consistant, it does not matter. Practice throwing the gun up fast and see which is better for quick shots.

The link that Canadian Goose posted is worthwhile reading for anyone contemplating the mastering of ron sights.

Can't use a scope, or can't use a "magnified scope"? I would check the law and get a red dot if it's legal. If you can, put the red dot where you want the bulllet to go.
