My Bow doesn't have this! What is the Purpose of the Decelerator?
its purpose is to kill vibration in the string and in the process some noise too. it should installed so that it's just barely touching. also the string should be served where it can make contact with the string. keep in mind if you move it or install it your tune, pins, and arrow flight may change.
Thanks Very Much ! I've Been Bowhunting for 40 YRS. & always shot a RECURVE until I got 50 & went to a Compound & I'm not going to STOP because of MY AGE! I'm SIXTY NOW ! Thanks Again !
from your other thread it sounds like you've got lots of dampening stuff already on. however, my older bow has string leeches, limbsavers, an sts string deccelerator, and an s-coil stabilizer. i've also got the bands that go around the Diamond limbs, down around the riser both on the top and bottom. the bow is quiet and definitely more so than many bows shot next to it. for that reason i'd use a string deccelerator too. it all adds up.
