    Default Food Plot is Done!!!

Well I finally got the plot planted on Aug.5.Had a real good rain that night and sun for the rest of the week.It is a mix of Winter Wheat and Shot PLot.The deer are at it already.I was amazed when I returned a week later to see so much growth already. It's looking really good!!!

Here is a pic of some finishing touches,my buddy doing some dragging to cover up the seed.Nice looking seed bed EH!!LOL.

Here is a close up shot of the Winter wheat and Shot Plot.Should provide the deer with some good eats going into the long hard winter we get here.

very very nice! yep--that should keep a few deer fed well.

That's excellent........you should have no problems at all with getting those deer close.

If you need to keep the deer away until it gets up go spray the plot with 6 raw eggs per gallon of water. This will keep the deer out for about 2 to 3 weeks. This will let it get up enough so it will be able to stand the deer tearing it up. The eggs and water are the same as the expensive plotsaver but much cheaper.

I've been putting in a plot for the last four years and might have hunted them 4 or 5 times over the four years. It's there for the deer, mainly. If the big fella shows his tracks a few times I may slip in a time or two this season when things are slow elsewhere. The Winter Wheat will come up in the early spring providing some greatly needed nutrition. So far this years plot is looking like it's going to be the best one I've done yet.

Thanks guys,I spent the most part of July tilling it with a disc and 4 wheeler.tilled it four times and put 220.lbs of 10-10-10 fertilizer and about 250.lbs of pellitized lime on it about 2 weeks before I planted it.I'll have some more pics each week.Going to keep track of it atleast once a week or so.Thanks again.

    Man, that looks sweet.

Never heard of the eggs in water formula for keeping deer off. Does that really work?
