    Default Longbows

Next season I plan to switch over to a long bow. Anyone have a recommendation on custom bowyers or a production bow from Matthews or Martin?

There's a few bowyers in Texas--Great Plains Bows,Horne's Archery,Foley Bows and probably some more I forgot.I just saw a Matthews longbow, nice looking bow but for $600,you could most likely do better.Try and shoot as many bows that you can get your hands on and you'll know when you find the right bow.

I wouold stay away from the Mathews long bow. WAY to much for a mediocar bow. IMO.
Go to TradGang.com and cruise threw there for a bit. You will soon see whats good, great, and over priced.
In the end its like any other bow, you need to shoot as many as you can and choose for yourself. Do not let dollar amounts dictate whats good and whats not.

They also have a large trad bow classifieds and you will get honest opinions and feedback on them. You will not find a $300 bow for $100 thought since those guys know there stuff.
But you will not get crap either. Again, JMO
    Good Luck!
