I forgot how fun it is..

I went out saturday night for our opener. I usually don't go this early because I hate hate hunting in the heat.. I went for a "trial run"..

I forgot the little things that make a night on stand fun. First there were no mosquitos. Watching a couple little bucks work through the woods was really fun. They crossed right where they should of, I had a perfect shot. One was a little non-typical I have seen a couple times this year.
A doe & 2 fawns passed by out of range, though I don't think I would have shot anyways..

I never even took my bow off the hanger, but I had a GREAT TIME..

Sounds great Missed, it's good to realize once in awhile why we do this huh. I watch from my house roof in the eve. I really enjoy just seeing them. But I really enjoy hunting them too.

I'm rigth there with ya'.. There have been plenty of times where scoring a deer was meaningless compared to a few hours in the woods hanging out with nature.. God knows I miss that..
