Bow troubles

see what high country can do for you otherwise find a good deal even on a used bow. I bought my bowtech brand new for $340 it was last years model it shoots great and fast and all my stuff fit, my zero effect and my site good luck. If you live in iowa i have another bow??

Depends on what your financial situation is and what the turn around time on your current bow is to get it repaired. How old of a bow is it?

Reflex makes some sweet bows, I have one and love it, shoots smooth, is quiet and best of all. When I bought it I still left with a pocket full of money. Then again Hoyt makes Reflex so with a reputation like Hoyt it only made sense to me that the Reflex bows would be great!!

If you can get the bow fixed cheap, I would try that first. Look for pro shops in your area that may have expertise with High Country bows. If you call them they should be able to get you in touch with a local pro shop in your area.

you picked the wrong time of year to address this problem, i would go buy a new bow

whatever you do you must do it quick if you want to be in the stand opening morning unless you have another bow

His problem is no different than if he were to shoot a few arrows before packing it up and heading out to the woods. Bows are mechanical devices and things happen. I am sure many guys this year will experience trouble in the field. Whats that saying, *hit happens!!

I am sure carbon hunter didn't want this to happen this close to season, nobody wants that problem.

The only good thing stores/pro shops are selling bows at some good prices now because the season is approaching. Good luck carbon hunter and hope you make it to opening day!!!

I was in a similar situation about 4 years ago. I just broke down a got a new bow. I bought the previous years model. $400+ browning for about $250. I'm still shooting this bow.

I'd take it to another archery shop. IF it was the correct string/cable combo, it shouldn't be the way it is if correctly installed. It sounds like they may have taken the cam off and got the spacers on the wrong side. The bow just didn't go bad to require a new one.

Was your draw length and poundage near the same as before? Also, see if the riser is bent. Maybe they put it in a vise wrong.

Ditto For the price of a new bow you could easily drive down to Des Moines I would recomend taking it to Erv Wagner at Archery Field and Sports his new shop is between Pleasant Hill and Altoona I bet he could get you fixed right up and he has a brand new 40 yard indoor range right there to get you all squared away... he is by far one of the most knowledgable ppl in town here.

Ditto For the price of a new bow you could easily drive down to Des Moines I would recomend taking it to Erv Wagner at Archery Field and Sports his new shop is between Pleasant Hill and Altoona I bet he could get you fixed right up and he has a brand new 40 yard indoor range right there to get you all squared away... he is by far one of the most knowledgable ppl in town here.
