Hoyt ZR 200

I have been bidding on a Hoyt ZR 200 on Ebay for the past two days. My bid has been beaten everytime, but the reserve was not met. I checked the auction this afternoon and apparently at $299, the reserve was met.
Is this bow worth $300??? It's an older model Hoyt, I know that but I want to know what this bow is worth... The bow that went for $299 was completely set up with a stabilizer, peep, kisser button, sight, rest, limb savers and everything. Plus a nice case a few arrows too.
Was it the accessories that made this bow go for so much?
How much should a used Hoyt ZR 200 go for stripped?

Please folks, if you have any input on this bow or it's value, please respond. This is going to be my Christmas present.

I dont' know if its an older model, but I can help you with bidding on ebay. Only bid once on your item until the end. If someone bids above you then just wait till it gets really close to the time its going to end then out bid that person and you have a better chance of not getting beaten again.

As far as the ZR200 that refers to the types of limbs on the bow not the Hoyt model. There should be a model name with the description, its probaly a magnatec or something to that affect. The ZR200 limbs are the lower end limbs for hoyt models but do fine. The more expensive limbs are like the xt2000 or something like that. Get the Hoyt model name(it is not called hoytzr200) and then we can give you more info. Again most hoyt models have tec at the end:ex protec,ultratec etc. What cams does the bow have? Cam1/2?

I don't know what model it is. It doesn't say. It is listed as a Hoyt ZR 200.

Joe.. the bow is a Hoyt MT Sport with ZR200 limbs and the Versa cam and half on it.

also the bow goes for a 27.5 to 30 draw length. if your draw is 27, then a 27.5 might be a hair to long. you could get a shop to shorten it a little i guess, by twisting the buss cable . but it would be best to find a bow that has your draw closer to the max end.

also i might just be me, but this seller looks like they have no clue about bows at all. wouldnt go over 320 for the whole thing.

I agree with Tony, and will also add, if you want a smoking deal on some of the slightly older Hoyts, like this bow, with the tec-riser, than swing yourself over to ArcheryTalk.com and do a search for them in the classified section.......Magnatec, Vortec, CyberTec...are just a few....

I agree with Tony and Iminrut. Register over at archerytalk.com and check the bow listings they have. You will get a swwet deal on some new older model bows. Most of those guys either own their own proshops or know alot about the bows. Seems like this ebayer doesnt know squat about bows. By the way that model MT Sport was last made in 2003 and I dont think the bare bow sold for much over 300$ and that would be brand new. If its been used for 3 years..well you do the math.

i bought a awesome 2003 protec over there for 200 bucks. and they guy shipped it next day air for me! .
just happened to be in the right place at the right time with the cash...

i have done lots of buying and selling over there good people and great deals.

i shoot a Hoyt MT Sport with intruder limbs. i didnt think my bow loaded was worth more then $150.

i also suggest going to Archerytalk.com.

if your going to bid on ebay, deff. follow Tom2008 instructions.

i bought my mt for $299 bare bow in 2003. it has the same limbs on it. love the thing it was not too expensive new, and is a good bow but it is also 3 yrs. old. i don't think i would pay $300 for it used unless it was only shot minimumly.

There are a few nicer and newer Hoyts over at ArcheryTalk for about the same price.
It seems like everything sells for too much on eBay.

thats so true. it used to be a great place to find good deals. now people just sell for a high price. foums are where its at when it comes to finding good deals.
