I was wondering what everyone's opinion on shrink fletches are. I found some awesome team realtree shrink fletches on cabelas but I have no expierience with them and don't know how reliable they are.
They are $20 for a pack of 6.

Jeremiah 16:16-Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

It seems to be hit and miss with peoples results.Ive done about 18 of my aluminum arrows over the past three years with no complaints.I used the extreme's with 4" Duravanes and they held up great through my whisker biscuit on my old bow.I would be afraid I would lose the RT ones.![]()
I have used the shrink fletches for the past two seasons without any problems at all. I shoot a whisker biscuit and they seem to hold up really well. They are a fast way to refletch arrows yourself. I really like them

Expensive yes, but they are durable. The only draw back is if you group too tightly, they are more apt to get brushed off by other arrows, and instead of fixing one vane, you have to redo the entire arrow...I learned the hard way to shoot no more than 1 arrow at each dot on the bag.

I for one dont think 20 bucks is too far out of line for them, I fletch a lot of arrows and I run around a buck an arrow for blazer vanes, and a buck per wrap. So I pay around 12 bucks to fletch a dozen arrows and that dosent figure in the glue or my time(I like doing it so it dont count anyway), so your paying around a buck an arrow for the conveniance and simplisity. Theres a lot more expensive things in archery than that. I have seen them come apart though, but then again I have seen regular wraps do that too.
