    Default Question About Matthews Bows

now i have heard that the grips on these bows may cause you to miss when your up in a stand something about angle.

is this true and what can you do inexpensive to fix it????

No, it's not true. Some people don't like the grips because of the bulk, but they in no way should effect the angle of a shot in a stand.

The grips suck, but I have killed a deer with my old mathews and it had that fat grip....so the answer to your question is no.

Exactly..................I'm not a fan of their grips but in no way will it make you miss. An easy fix is to by a Shrewd grip for like $40 ................

I too disagree, I have a Drenalin, and yes the grip can seem bulky, but I have big hands so it don't bother me. Why you will constantly read here "always try before you buy" As for making you miss, naaah.

I've shot more than a few deer with 2 Mathews bows over the years. I never noticed a grip problem.

I've owned two Mathews: an Outback and a Mission Journey. Neither one of them have ever given me problems grip-wise. I think it's all just talk, bud.

I have an 08 DXT and killed 2 deer with it last year, 6 groundhogs and a squirrel. Nope. Can't say I have a problem with missing. And all kills were from elevated perches. I think it has to do more with not bending at the waist and maintaining T form more than anything. I love my Mathews.

I have heard time and time again about mathews grips being bad,but I just cant see it.I have shot a lot of diferent brands of bows over the years and I have no complaint on the grip on my switchback xt,I think it is pretty comfy infact.I guess if someone had small hands they may have a problem but that would be the only way I could see one.
