Default Bowhunter's Pick a spot 10 with scenarios

You're taken vacation time to go to another state on your hunt of a lifetime "do it yourself" bowhunt. No guides...you're on your own. It's around 10:00 on the 3rd morning of your 6 day hunt. So far all you've seen are does, 1.5 and 2.5 year old bucks but from the size of the rubs you've seen, you know there's some big bucks around.

You've watched this buck come in cold trailing a doe. She passed by about 10 minutes ago. You figure if he hadn't broken off his right brow tine and right G2 he'd be real close to P&Y. Now he's walking by your treestand at 6 yards. Your call now.

Depending on how the weather is forecasted for the remaining 3 days of my hunt, I may or may not take the shot. I have nothing against going home empty handed but if the conditions were right I'd take this buck. 2nd red dot down would be my aiming point.

Hunt of lifetime should yield a bigger buck (at least see one anyway). It's halfway through the hunt. I'd pass. Shot is pretty hard to mess up though with an experienced bowhunter.

Depends I guess on where I am Al. Kansas or Montana and know something bigger is around with only being half way in I might take my chances and pass.

No doubt that deer is a shooter here in the backyard. If he is stopped I am putting my top pin on yellow dot 2(second from the top). Should just miss the shoulder bone and get both lungs.

Let him walk, if he is trailing does and coming in that close the rut is on and he has one thing on his mind. Chances are that there is a bigger one behind him. If I was to shoot it would be Yellow 2 (from the top) and he would be on the ground within a 100 yards of the stand double lunged.

If it was a "Hunt of a LIFETIME" I would probally let it walk, But if it was in the woods around the house I'd be aimin for the 2nd yellow one down from the top and let the Muzzy 3-blade do it's job.

I'm one of those guys that if it's in range then it's in trouble. Fawns and young bucks walk but I don't pass on good deer.

Not a lifetime buck, but a yellow 3 would put some meat on the grill.

Let him walk, if he doesn't meet my standards which he doesn't then he is on his merry way. Always a bigger one out there and he could be just behind this one.

Exactly where I was thinking. Shooting on one of the red dots might cause a shoulder blade shot with his leg up.
