I was able to rattle in two whitetail bucks this weekend...one was a 5 x 5 that would go in the 130's or low 140's ( I am kicking myself for not shooting him)...and the second was a yearling forkhorn that ran in looking for a fight...

Yup. getting to that time, rattling should really start to work in the next 2 weeks. As for passing that deer...its early yet, lots of time for a bigger one. DUnno if its just me, but i swear i rattle in as many does as i do bucks.
I got up to leave last night & quickly ducked back into the bush as I saw 2 deer coming. They were smaller bucks. They came out with 5 min left.I sat & watched the deer just flood into the field & a nice buck come in along the other brush line!I waited until it was black out & snuck out of the field in a crouch along the tree line as not to spook anything.I will be out there along that other brush line tonight if the wind is right.
Good luck on that buck Cam!
Tim, I'm going to take the video cam out tonight, see what I can rattle in, the bucks were already sparring in front of me way back on the 2nd. By the way, you'll get a better buck than the one you rattled in!!!![]()
