Started talking to a couple of buddies yesterday, thinking about a fall canada waterfowl hunt. Dont know anything about area's or season.
Would like to do a day or two with an outfitter and three or four days on our own.

Things usually fire up for Residents on Sept 8th.

Non-Residents(that would be you ) don't start in our area till usually the last weekend in September. Last year it was the 27th.

If you are looking for a Outfitter the Interlake in MB, PM and I will try and set you up.

We get the locals early in the season, and the migrators may start anywhere from the middle of September to the middle of October.

Either way, there are a ton of birds here.

If you're looking fo great action it is hard to beat the Lloydminster AB/SK area. Or if you want a real challenege I go to school in Lethbridge, and the december hunting for waterfowl is great down here, the only problem is that they are really spooky by the time they get here, so some days only half a dozen or dozen decoys work awsome, and a coffin type blind is a must.
