Hey guys, I was just curious if any of you guys had fished up at Lake of the Woods, Dad and I and a few friends are thinking about coming back up there. It is a beautiful place with some pretty good sized pike! We love it up there!

I've fished the area and run offs of the lakes but not actually the waters labeled "lake of the woods", north west ontario has great fishing though.
where in Ontario is Lake of Woods, its it around North bay, or furthur north?

Look on a map and you will noitice lake of the woods almost at the manitoba border.
I have always dreamt about heading to LOTW, to fish for Muskie, one day I will.
Just returned from a trip out of Kenora, Ont. We fish the Canadian side of LOW every year on a father/son fishing trip. I fish the south shores in MN a few times a year, but the trip to Kenora is worth it! Huge pickeral (walleyes), Pike and Musky!
PM me if anyone wants more info, as it is truly one of my favorite areas to fish!
Heard a lot of good things about the lake. Been to area on countless occasion's but never had the good fortune to fish it.
I have fished both the american and canadian sides for years. We just got back from a great trip to the northwest angle. I am leaving thuresday to go back it was so good. The walleyes and perch were hott to say the least. We did some pike fishing but I'm a walleye fisherman at heart but you should be in for a great trip.
I used to fish on Lake of the Woods every summer when I was growning up! We fished the US side and the walleye fishing was great! Some northerns too!
I haven't been back there since 1967, so I am sure it has changed a lot!
Good fishing!
Never heard of the place.
