South district Late Bird season

I won't be hunting, but I'll sure be thinking about it. Since my brother's lab died in 96, the pheasant hunting trips have been pretty rare. We were down last year for the opener and there sure were lots of birds - everyone we talked to had their limits. I see the harvest figures for 2003 were 7424 compared with 3368 in 2002, a nice 120% increase. I haven't heard any reports from this fall though. You just can't beat those roosters flushing out from some rose bushes right under your nose, in my opinion it's the most exciting hunting there is.
