Hey buds to the north, A friend is looking into a deer hunt in around meadow lake but he was told the snow might be a problem this year due to winter kill What do u think? I told him you guys could help him. thanks in advance

I'm thinking there will be lots of good deer left-check out some of the sheds superguide jr. has found up here. PM who he's going to hunt with and I can tell you more but generally the deer aren't suffering too bad yet. Us ranchers have lots of stackyards to donate. Ty has only found two yote kills so far and he's travelled alot of area. He says the deer look to be in good shape yet.

There will be lots of mature bucks left around. Some will die for sure but all in all despite the snow it hasn't been a real bad winter so far. Like superguide said, the ranchers jeep them well fed with alfalfa stacks. lol

There are no deer in Meadow Lake I would find some where else

lol .. no deer in Meadow Lake .... only see 20 or more everytime I go through that area ... Big River to Meadow or up from Glaslyn ... lots of deer ... and the snow isn't as bad as it was in the mid 80's when we had a lot of winterkill.

No you must be talking about another town there are only about 4 bucks a year in Meadow Lake, one for Superguide one for Saskman, one for Superguide Jr and one for me

After that they all go into hiding !

thats why I just pass thru ... to my hunting area north of Prince Albert .... where the go from meadow to hide... lol
