Ontario Realtree Ice Fishing Expo... Feb 20th!

Thought I'd post this here too, not sure how much it'll get viewed in the announcements room.

We've got some folks coming for the day on February 20th at Muff's place on Wolfe Island on the St Lawrence River for a little ice fishing get-together. Anyone is welcome to come, I know the boys in northern New York are very close. Also the guys in the Toronto area, and eastern Ontario and here in the Capital region. I'll be leaving here around 7:00am, so anyone close to me can hitch a ride down if you need one. It'll definetly be a fun time, and Muff's house will be less than 100 yards from where we're fishing, so we're nice and close to the warmth if it's chilly out.

If you need directions, PM Muff or I if you're in Canada, and PM RangerClay if you're in NY. We were all there last summer for our rainy golf expo.

Hey!!! Can I still take the ferry?? Or will I have to drive around and come from Kingston?

you have to come across the 1000 island bridge then up to kingston...not sure how Shaun is comeing down...if he come down the 416 you may be able to meet up with him....if not just try to catch the same ferry across from kingston....I will PM you the directions on how to get to the ferry dock in kingston.

I could come down the 416, and I could meet Ranger right at the I-81 exit on the 401. I'm sure there's a gas station before the border we could meet at. I'll PM ya my cell # Ranger. Not sure what time Muff wants us to arrive, probably around 8:30 or so eh Muff? That'd put us at the I-81 exit around 7:15-7:20 and we could probably catch the 8:00 ferry

really....whats the use doing that guys...have to load and unload trucks for the sake of a 25 minute drive to kingston????? I think you should just try to meet at the dock and take the same boat across.

I will do either but I have to leave a about 3pm because I have to pick up the kids at the sitters. I can arrive earlier if you want?

I didn't mean meet up and ride together from the border, I thought you were meaning meet and Ranger could follow me through Kingston. Whatever works out.

Mornings are usually the best time, depending on the moon phases. If I leave home around 5:00 I should be there by 7:00-7:30.

Just asked the boss, he said no problem for taking the day off!

Sounds good Joe, I'll try and make the 7:15 ferry. I'll leave here around 5:30, that should give me enough time. I think I am gonna take Highway 15 like I did last time, this shaves about 45 miles off the trip, plus I'll avoid Ottawa's morning rush hour traffic.

I just take Highway 15 all the way through Kingston to the ferry... correct?

I like the idea of meeting you then following you to Muff's. It would be nice to have a guide on some unfamiliar roads. I will PM you later on for details!

Hey if you want me to pick you up you're more than welcome to come!

Ranger, we can still do that, but I won't be able to meet you right when you cross the border since I'm coming almost straight south of here. I'd go that way if it was a weekend, but I'd be hitting the morning rush hour in Ottawa. All you have to do is head west on Highway 401 until you hit the highway 15 exit. I'm pretty sure there's a gas station there we can meet at, and you can follow me through Kingston to the ferry.
