This doesn't look like a business venture to me. Just a guy who got a good "going out of business" deal, passing on some savings.

And man, it is a SAVINGS! It might not look like a lot at first, but add in all the tax and shipping. A GREAT deal!

Usually an average joe doesn't buy out a huge amount of stock in an archery shop to resell it without a resellers permit. Once you get the permit, you are considered a business. The IRS wants you to resell at a profit.
Not saying that it isn't what it seems, but why would you invest your hard earned money in something, with a chance that it wouldn't resell, unless you could write some off for losses. You're looking at 10 high dollar treestands here, not just a few little items. That's not counting the other stuff he had in here before.
He's either reselling these for a profit, or reselling for his buddies, which still comes down to business related.
That doesn't bother me as far as the man trying to do it, but then it would be nice if there could be a set-up like the NAHC has, where businesses could list their stuff. Just trying to even out the playing field.

A good deal passed on to another hunter is still a good deal regardless of who's selling it. If it's saving someone a few hard earned dollars, why whine about it?
