Default Pics of Deer with Tumors Growing on the Skin??? What is that???

Buddy of mine has his scouting camera up and has lots of pics of a little 5-point with some type of dark-colored tumors growing randomly on his skin. For now they are about the size of a nickel or quarter. We deleted all the pics, but he's collecting more this week and I'll post some as soon as I get them. I know I've seen pics of this same thing on here before in other threads, but it's been so long, I can't find any threads relating to this topic and I don't remember those other thread names. Could someone please tell us what this is and if it would be best to go ahead and put this guy out of his misery before these things take over his whole body. I've seen pic of deer that were wrapped up with them. Other than that I don't recollect exactly what was discussed about it. We need answers to 3 questions and will get a pic up as soon as possible.

    1.) What is it?
2.) Should we go ahead and take him out (bow season starts in 3 weeks)?
3.) Is the meat safe for human consumption? (We eat 'em all around here.)

    Thanks,

    Walker dawg

It's probably just deer warts. Not really a problem to the health of the deer. Here's a link to an article about them.
