I just got off the phone w/ my father. He was telling me about the other evening when he was watching a hillside and the edge of a field. He said that he saw a nice buck walk out in the field and he was just hoping it would come about 100 yards or so and get in bow range. He said that he observed the buck chasing a doe around and kind of showing rutting activity. Then he said the buck ran off around a 4 point!
He said it was probably just playing around, and that it was probably too early to start any rutting activity, so I'm wondering if this is so.
Have any of you all seen activity this early in season? The land he was hunting was in Southern WV.
