Okies Rutting starting?????

Hey Okies i think they might be starting to rut!!! Had 3 bucks cruisin this weekend!

After watching you grunt in that young one you may be right.

We saw several does this weekend but they didn't have a buck with them. Usually they are full rut this time of year but they haven't been real hot. I have seen several rubs that show a little different story. Id be willing to bet they are at least in the early rut.

All three bucks left that field in the same exact place the doe left! So they were on her trail!

I think they are starting up. Within the last 3 days there were 5 new scrapes and 3 new rubs within 50 yards of my bow stand. I hunted that stand Friday and saw a small scrape about 15 yards from my stand. I went into that same stand yesterday to put corn out and it looked like someone flipped a switch in that area. The ground and trees were just tore up. I think you are right RYANH, they are starting to get into the swing of things. In another 2 or 3 weeks it aught to be really good.

All signs of Pre-Rut. Little ones go first, then things die down, and then the real rut hits. Things usually get kickin on Halloween here. I am also starting to see a few rubs, but only one scrape. It's to hot out for a full blown rut to kick in, but you can bet the first cool spell we get that it should jumpstart it. What we are all seeing now though is simply pre-rut, the young-ins are trying their best :P

Yes sir boys the Pre Rut is kickin'.....
I watched a 8 point buck this morning chasing a doe around the field. They came with in 80 yards of me. I been seeing several small bucks with does, alot more rubs and have been getting reports from some people I know that they have been seeing alot of scrapes....
I figure by the time rifle season gets here the Rut will be in full swing.......

Now only if this weather will cool down a bunch the big boys will come out and play.....

My buddy says his family has been seeing the small ones chasing. I haven't seen a single deer all season, so I couldn't tell you.

Thanks Man! I saw you replied to my post on Huntingfootage! The grunt call is a HS True Talker!! The reason it made that noise is cause i had to blow on it pretty hard! Had to get the sound to carry that far!!! He was a really long way out!

Man, I hope so!!! I just got word of a decent buck running around in the WMA by my house, according to the biologist, he is running the ridge about 1/2 mile from my house!!! Guess I know where I will be this weekend!!!
