308 hunting trip

Hy everyone i just got back from my hunting trip yesterday from 308.

on the first day as soon as we got up to the ridge we took a nice 3 by 4 mule deer and then the second one we saw was a monster 4 by 4 with really long point so we tried a sneak on him and we got onto a little hump about 400 yds away so we took the shot and it went just low of him. We saw about 15 different bucks that day a few 4 by 4's but we passed them all up waiting for the big one to come back.

the next day when we got up to the ridge we saw a 3 by 3 and passes him up so we went top this ridge and glassed again and we saw the big buck again just bedded down in a stand of poplars.so me and my dads freind went to this hump and my dad tried a sneak. he was sneaking up for about 2 hours and we saw him about 100 yds away from the buck but we watched him get up and trot off.not that fast. when my dad got back down he said he couldnt see the buck thruogh the poplars. all he saw was his monster antlers trotting off.

bu were going to go back to the same spot this year and try to get him because we studing the ridge he was on and we estimated that he was living his whole life on that ridge.

we tried rattling when we were watching one 3 by 3 but he didnt even flinch.
