Cell phone in the woods?

I thought about getting a cell phone just for the reason you stated. Most people have cell phones, but not me. Just another bill to pay. Would be nice at times though.....

Yup I do it, mainly when I'm bow hunting. Quite often no one else woul dbe with me, so it does come in handy. During rifle seasom, its in the car, 13 of us with radios, and we're all aware of where each other are.

I always bring mine in the woods w/ me. Keep it on silent. I shot a 7 pt two yrs ago hunting out of a box blind while talking on my cell phone..i just calmly told her to hold on.
It was pretty cool. I wouldn't go in the woods w/o it.

Yes I bring mine out too but most of the areas I hunt have little to no reception unless you jump in the truck and drive somewhere.
I try not to hunt alone in those cases.
On my property its not an issue.
Except when you forget to turn it off and the wife calls ya at last light to ask when I will be home and if she should start dinner or not.
Not good.

I carry mine, all the time outdoors but its on silent.

I personally don't own a cellphone but have on occasion hunted with someone who does and there is never any service at ANY of the places we hunt. You guys must all be "city slickers"!

i always have mine on me, but it is always off. Comes in handy when you need help dragging one out!
