It all depends on how you really feel about this. Id like to think that most of us are ethical and would go ahead and purchase the license to clear our conscious. Other than that keep in mind if a warden catches you without a license it will cost a whole lot more. Its an easy debate to settle, go spend the little money it takes.

Besides, you may find two weeks from now that a monster is rubbing in the middle of the 30 acres! At that point you want to be mobile. I rarely had purchased my license until I got my lifetime. On occasion someone would call wanting me to go hunting with them and I always had to run the WalMart and pic them up! Just bite the bullet and spend the money....

Good Hunting,

If you got permission to hunt someone elses property besides your own, whether it's next door or down the road a spell, it's your responcibility to get a hunting license.

No! Here in NY it would be illegal. I think it would be in your state also. I would not shoot, unless I had a license in hand.

sorry i have to pass the shot ! you tag is only good for your property .
if you want to cure this problem then buy another tag.
i have had this same thing happen but i had a legal tag but i couldnt hunt the other side of the fence.
i passed on lots of deer because they wouldnt come on my side. after many frustrating evenings in the stand. i went to the other land owner and explained what was happening. he said i had permission to shoot from my stand with bow at any deer on his property , but i wasnt allowed to put a stand on his property .
the next week i scored on my first buck with horns with bow. this was my solution to the prob.
there are always ways to solve probs sometimes we look to hard for answers .
either pass on the deer or buy a tag .
good hunting

If I understand correctly......your law states that you cannot legally shoot the deer (without the license) until it crosses the fence. I let the deer walk. If I can't do it within the law....I won't do it. Cheatin' ain't winnin'. Were my stand that close to the property line, I'd go ahead and buy the license so if this particular situation does arise........I shoot.......with a very clear consciense.
