    Default Tracking String?

    Who uses a tracking string for your bow, any bad storys that have happened because of one?

    I used to use one in tight quarters. I found that they work pretty dang good up to 15 yrds, but after that, it may pull your arrow off a bit.
    I stopped using mine because of that.

    Used to use one on short shots. Got more confident in my tracking and don't use it any more. Also got more confident in my shooting and take shots far enough out that it does affect arrow flight, and got tired of messing with it. Have to practice with it on there, too, if you're going to hunt with it.

    I used them for acouple of years on deer and bears,but that was quite awhile ago. They really drag the arrow down after 15 yrds or so.

    Seen them in catalogs. Never tried them. Would also be afraid after 15 yards they would slow the arrow down too much.
