Also when doing your scouting, try and be as scent free as possible, and try to disturb and few deer as you can. This is more essential later in the year but I apply this to all of my scouting.

Great Tip! I hunt a lot of open pasture during every season. Inside the surrounding timber lines are usually heavily traveled routes that the deer take leaving what looks like a deer highway!
