Anybody know where I can get plans for an elevated hunting shack?
did some searching but know luck ,, should be something out there.
Enough guys here build them. Be patient and one will get to you.
Why do you need plans? They are pretty simple.
Build a tower. Put a box on it.
Are you going metal or wood? Do you weld?
These aren't exactly Plans, but it might get the creative juices flowing..EH
And they work too

Thats how my uncle built his i should now because i had to hold all the stuff. But we didnt make it very high just high enough so that its level from the ground so it was about 3 feet.
Take a look here stand plans
Or try... hunting stand plans
Good Luck!
Built our tower platform out of steel. Welded the sections together at home and transported them on a trailer with the tractor back to where I wanted it. Used the tractor bucket to lift the blind section into place. Got some pictures over at jesseshunting I will try to post in here later.
Built this the summer of 2004. Kind of figured out what I wanted on paper, then ordered my steel, cut my steel to lengths I wanted and welded the pieces together for the platform. This is for a 6x6x6. The platform is elevated to approximately 9 feet. Used square tubing for the inside frame of the walls as well.

Semi finished product.
Later came back and added an ondura roof over the plywood and added some awnings over the sliding plexiglass windows.
The wife killed her first buck out of this blind the same season we built it. My 9 year old killed her first deer, a decent buck, out of this blind this past season after we watched some pretty intense fighting and watching 4 different bucks on the field at the same time.
very nice William!
those are 2 good ones!!! we don't use shooting houses cause we never have hunted much of gun season, only bow season. But now with us starting to hunt the IA Late Muzzleloader season we might need some to stay warm!!!!!!!
