Ohio Rut...

I haven't really been out in the past couple of weeks and was wondering how the rut was looking? Anyone seen any thing going on?

I didn't get out much, but a full moon at the end of October, coupled with some warm weather, and I think we had a classic "trickle" rut. I saw some chasing, but never did see any whoppers like I usually do.

I hunt in Southern Indiana and just saw the first buck of the season chasing a doe last friday. Does are running around with their tails up if that mens anything.

Ive seen about 3 or 4 bucks with there nose in the dirt sniffing out the does. Its been good in my area.

The rut started three weeks ago slowly and it's still going on around my area in Ohio. I expect Monday to be a buck slaughterfest with the rut still going on.
