I got this buck on November 18, opening day of the wisconsin gun season. i hadnt seen a deer until 11 am and i finally saw a couple does i was actually thinking about shooting one because it was towards the middle of the day and we have to shoot alot of does. I saw some movement about 50 yards behind the does so i waited and then saw a flash of antlers...the buck stopped behind a huge tree for about five minutes, i waited not knowing if it was a shooter or not...then it took a few more steps and stood about 100 yards away between to huge trees that were about one foot apart. he stood there looking straight in my direction at the does that were below me by this time i knew he was a shooter, possibly a 12 pointer i had been after all season long....its really thick where he was at and i knew this would be my only opportunity at a shot, i knew that my bullet could make it threw all of that brush...i steadied myself and made the shot, he ran about 40 yards and tipped over....made a perfect shot, hit him right in the chest...he wasnt the 12 pointer but a nice 11 pointer we've seen a couple times, he had an 18 1/4 in. spread
this is his shed from last year
this is him on my camera 3 days before i shot him
