I was hunting last saturday morning with a good friend on my property in southwest mo. We only had a few hours because I had to be at work by 11. Well around 10 I sent him a text message saying I would work my way to him and we would be on our way. Well when I got up to him he told me he had just seen a deer slip into a wooded bottom back behind him and that we should try to push him out. I worked my way to the far side of the bottom and once I was in position my buddy started moving. Not long after he started this buck ran out in front of me about 90 yards. I have always been very confident in my shooting skills so I threw up my gun and shot even though he was moving. After the shot he ran back into the bottom and fell over...he went about 80 yards. Upon looking at the entry and exit wound I found it was a great quartering away shot that got his liver and one lung. The hard part was draggin him out of that steep bottomNeedless to say I was late to work but lucky for me my boss is an avid hunter and totally understood. The bad part was the only camera there was on my phone and I took this pic as soon as I got up to the deer. [image]
