Terrible Season

Boy my deer season has really stunk. Missed one deer with my bow and only had one shot at a little buck during gun season and missed that one also. This will be the first year in a while that I will have to eat my TAGS instead of tenderloins.... Anyone else eating tags this year?

be sure to cook those tags will--if under cooked they can make ya pretty sick

I was very blessed with a nice 8 pointer during rifle season. Passed on a decent 7 pointer early bow season and stunk it up during BP season as I had a miss fire

sorry about the season--but at least you had some chances.

First year in many that I have not killed a couple bucks by this time of the year. Had really warm wet fall and there was really no serious rutting activity. Been a pretty bad year here.

Filled my 3 tags but, by no means would I say it was easy. They made me work for it this year...

1buck, 1doe...with the Bow
1 small doe... with the ML
Since rifle season is in between Bow and ML I held off with the rifle because I was in possesion of a doe tag for ML only, and here in Vermont we are allowed only 3 deer.

On the flip side of the coin I took a PY with my bow, one that could have made BC with my ml if he wasnt such a fighter, and two does also. I might not have to go out next year with all the meat I have. Anyone need a lil?

Same Here!!!!
Killed a doe in rifle but thats it so far. Still have until Dec 31 to get a buck and Jan. 15 to get a doe. And we also have Dec31-Jan.2 for a bonus doe tag with a rifle.

I'm in the same boat, missed 3 bucks with my bow, only saw 6 deer during shotgun season, and I have 3 days of late archery.

Were you in the woods? Were you enjoying the outdoors? If any of these answers are "yes", then your season was not so bad. Lot's of people can't even get out into the woods because of work and family issues.

Let's kep it all in perspective, Just because you did not kill anything does not mean it was so bad!!!!
