    Default Only in Saskatchewan

LDB and I went to our local scoring day and took a couple hides in for the habitat trust fund and found this really nice hide and skull attached...only in Saskatchewan would someone shoot this nice of a deer and essentially discard it without and regard...we found it funny and strange...if I didn't have to climb over a bunch of bloody and rotting hides I might have sawn it off...but I don't know if that would have been law abiding...

Hmmmm. I am guessing some old guy who has shot his fill of deer. When you live in saskatchewan you get used to the biggest and best!

The meat was harvested? All good for me....Although there is no way I would let those antlers go with the hide. But to each his own.

Saskbucks that does not bother me as much as when i went a few weeks ago, there was at least 5 120" deer nice 5 by 5 that would be nice in a couple years, i read the tags and most were older hunters that have shot there share of nice deer, why not shoot a doe last day instead of a yound deer and do not care about the antlers! If its a kid or soemone who will use the antlers and be proud of them go ahead but when yu are just going to pretty well throw them out, let the deer grow up and shoot a doe to fill the freezer!!

Heck, I have spiker racks in the shed...I never throw anything out. Especially a nice rack like that.

No doubt that would be a wall hanger in these parts. Guess in Sask it was just meat.

It's happening here too! Saw a few decent racks in the drop off bin at the Wildlife Federation when my buddy and I went out to do some practice shooting.
I hate to see any of those racks just go to waste.

They sell them to a hide and tanning company and then use the funds to buy wildlife lands
