    Default Antler growth?

    Anyone seeing antler growth yet?
Either the deer I've seen the past couple weeks are all does or if bucks they haven't started growing yet.

No you won't see any real antler growth in early May. Bucks are beginning to sprout "nubs" this early. Beginning in late May the months of June & July is when antlers seem to grow over night like the hulk.

I got a couple pics two weeks ago that had some pretty decent nubs poking up.

I saw one last week with about 3 inches of bone sticking up, but everything else has just been nubbers.

I've seen bucks with 6" of antler growth already and some with main beams sprouting. Most good bucks around here are forking for browtines already.

Ohiobucks and I saw a mess of deer yesterday while turkey hunting. One bachelor group of about 7 deer came through, and they all appeared to be bucks. One buck already had 3 or 4" of main beam started, the other ones had and inch or so or nubs.

They are defintly sprouting antlers. I had several pics of bucks on my trail cam last week with nubs and some with some good bases started. I'll be swapping cards today or tomorrow, so we'll see what a week has done. You can check them out at www.myarcheryhunt.com.

I saw a couple of bucks with antlers just starting to branch in Minnesota. I will be setting out the cameras this week.

I'm starting to see some good antler growth now. There Sunday I was going up to the farm to pick some wildflowers for a project I have due and I saw one with about 5" of bone and getting his brows.

Can't wait to get some good trail cam pics.
