Oklahoma Drawn Hunts?

Now we have to wait until July 9th (my bday ) to get the results.

Who put in and what for?

I put in for Elk in NE Oklahoma (bulls only).
I put in for PH'rn in NW Oklahoma (either sex)
and the only deer hunts I really put in for were McAlester. I did put in for one in Spavinaw either sex.

I seriously doubt I will be drawn again for anything this year. Ive been putting in for something like 8-10 years and still have never drawn. How does everyone else usualy fair?

I put in to, but was in a rush and forgot to put in for the elk hunts. I think I have been putting in since around '01, and drawn all but twice.

Is this residents only or are us foreigners allowed? When is the deadline or has it passed? Guess I can go do some research myself.

Deadline was last week and anyone can put in. It cost $5 up front and then out of staters will have a much higher tag cost if they get drawn in.

The only other requirement is that you have a valid Oklahoma Lic. when you enter the draw (which you can buy online).

I put in for Deer and Elk. I've been putting in for 8-10 years and only drawn out twice for buck deer hunts. It gives you a good reason to go camping for a weekend even if you don't kill anything.

Jeramie, I did a little looking at it this morning before I had to leave, saw I missed the deadline, but the licensing thing really had me confused. Do you know which type of license NR would have to purchase ahead of time?

Im about 90% positive it would be just an annual hunting lic. I just read where Non Residents have to have different types, I wasnt aware of that and believe its pretty new. Still, I saw several places where it talked about annual lic. Since you could be putting in for different species I assume you would have to have one to cover them all.
