Default You ain't gonna believe this...........

I was turkey hunting this morning along a woods road at the Strut10 Ranch (it's actually the same stretch of road in my "Photo essay" post in the Turkey forum).

I came walking past the tree where me & the boy spent most of our hunts last season. There's a good trail coming in out of a brushy bottom. There's also a dogwood tree that kinda overhangs the road at 23 yards under which there's always a scrape. Well.........as I walked past the dogwood this morning, I noticed that the scrape had been freshened last night or this morning!!!!

    What the.....................???????????????????

Someone's feeling a bit froggy at the wrong time of the year.

Deer use scrapes year round as signposts Don. Got a few community scrapes here we see activity at out of season, does use them too. Back about 6 or 7 years ago there was a pretty interesting article on scrape activity I believe in petersons bowhunting.

I think you need to get a camera.
Some people go to church and think about hunting. Others go hunting and think about God.
