    FAWN

    I didn't even see him....I was driving along in some tall weeds in my golf cart...looking at my food plot and BUMP BUMP mmmmmmeeeeeeaaaaaa. As I turned around I saw the little guy making a mad dash for the woods...

    Sure hope its ok....

    I almost hit one with the truck the other day. It was down in some weeds and saw me coming and turned and ran back into the thick stuff.

    I saw one two nights ago bedded near the road. No momma around. I backed up to look and it finaly got up and ran around the corner.

    It's easy to do. He should be ok since he got up and ran away.

    Yeah, this thread kind of reminds me a little of a time I ran over a fawn. Unfortunately it was not with a golf cart though. Hit one with the tractor with the front tire a few years back while raking hay. Fawn bawled, I thought something was squeaking with the rake before I turned off the pto. Ended up having the warden pick that one up, afraid it broke its back, however it was still able to hold its head up. It could not stand at all, figure he put it down humanely. Felt bad about that for a while.

    Warden suggested taking a few pics. Not the best pic, but one that is loaded.

    I have been seeing alot of them this year without mom around, hope they are okay....also my buddy found 2 dead and the third tried to walk out of the woods with him.....
