Default Seeing any bucks in NY?

Just wondering if there are any deer left in the empire state? I haven't see one in several weeks now...

Just kinding. There were 10 bucks out in the alfalfa field across from my house last night. First time that I've checked it out this year so I was a little surprised by the number of bucks. It looks like 2 or 3 of them are prob. 3 yr olds, 5 or 6 are 2 yr. olds and a couple of yearlings. It was getting kinda dark but it appeared that most of them are currently 6 points...3 or 4 look like they'll be pretty nice bucks in a couple of weeks. I love watching the antlers grow this time of year.

I guess that a few of the little guys that I passed up last fall made it through season after all....

Back in May, while trying to roost some birds on state land, had 2 bucks walk to about 10 yards from me. One was a younger buck, the other one definitely looked like an older buck and he have a couple inch nubs back then, so who knows now.

A doe and fawn crossed the road in the Adirondacks driving back home Friday.

I think it'll be a good season come fall!

The first weekend in May, several of us saw a buck with horns as high as his ears. Other than that, the only bucks I have seen have been laying beside the road.

I am seeing boat loads of does around the house.

My son and I see bucks just about every day. We are fortunate to live in a suburban environ that enables us to have really good deer around and have access to land to kill those good bucks.
So to answer your question , Yes...we see deer often.

We grow some big deer out here in the farm country of WNY too. These deer see a TON of hunting pressure...but remain pretty visible throughout the summer.

There were 11 bucks out in the alfalfa last Sunday. The field was just mowed so it'll probably be a couple ofweeks before I see them out again. They'll look WAY different by then. I can't wait to see what they've blossomed into! A couple of 'em should be dandies....

I went to a graduation party yesterday. While enjoying some cake I noticed a deer across the street in a field. I fetched my bino's quickly and it became 4 does and a buck. I watched them for about 15 minutes and when I turned around, 3 or 4 other guys had grabbed their bino's too.
