Default ?what to use in louisiana to attract?

I live in southwest louisiana where it is humid (but no rain) and hot ( average 100 degrees) I am using rice bran which is attracting but it ruins and cakes really quick and easy from humidity and the coons are eating more per pound a night than my 6 point im trying to fatten up. The soil is really sandy where my stand is so forage doesnt grow well besides the weeds and briers. What can i use to attract the deer and not varmits?

    Welcome to the forums.

Have planted soybeans in sandy areas here and had them do ok. Might be a consideration.

You might try a simple bucket feeder with a broom handle out the bottom. Just put it up high enough that the critters can't hit the broom. Can't help you with the humidity thing. Sorry.
Luke 22:36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

    Was Jesus really a passivist?

what part of Louisiana are you from? I know how you feel about the hot humid weather buddy. I'm from south la also. Rice brand works great until it rains or the opossums find it. To me the best thing to use is soybeans. Just throw it out like you would corn. Coons and other critters don't mess with it very much. Another thing to do with your soybeans is to take a medium size bucket with a lid put a little water in bottom with some sugar then fill it with soybeans and put the lid on it and let it sit in the sun a couple days then pile it up by your stand.....bet it doesnt stay long
