Default could i have some help?

OK i have a ? about where im hunting.

OK. to the left of me i got a straw field to the right is woods for about 60 yards then you run into a corn field and to the back of me is all woods and in front of me i got soybeans. im right on the end of the soybean field.

so im on the end of the soybean field and there's woods right where the soybeans ends on the right for about 15 yards then there's a corn field.

but where im getting at is do ya'll think its a good spot? the deer are not coming into the soybean field till right at dark and i can't hunt where the corn is or i would :/.

do you think things will change when the rut starts?

and does this make sence? lol

Your hunting a food source so you won't see the deer til dusk or after dark. You need to hunt the staging area near the feed. That would be the woods you see them coming out of at dark. Food sources will get hot after the ruts over.

yeah you need to get between the bedding area and the food source... go into the woods a little bit and you will catch them as they enter the field before dark

Ditto. Try and get closer to the bedding area.

I'm not telling you to hit the corn, I'm telling you to hit the cover in the area, AKA known as the woods.

I'd have to say youre pretty close to where you need to be with what you have to work with. It looks like you have a little more room to back up into that corner of woods. If you can, get as far back into that corner as you can without crossing property lines. Thats a good little funnel/pinch point. I'd say that you are too far out. Thats about all i can give you with that spot. I gaurantee the deer you are seeing are bedding in that prairie or whatever it is behind you, so you need to bump yourself as close to that funnel as you can. good luck J...

make it happen Jeremy. you don't need that big of a tree for a hang on stand. If you don't have a hang on, see if you can borrow one from a friend or something. If you have to make a ground blind of some type out of dead limbs or something then do it. I am willing to bet those deer are slipping by you all the time and you don't even notice it because you are too far out...Or see if you can get permission to hunt the next property over so you can get where you need to be. you never know. plus as the season goes on, that straw field is going to be dead, while the soybeans and corn will be loaded with deer. Hope this helps.

What he said. Do whatever it takes to get back into that corner. And hunting off the ground ain't that bad either. But if you have a hang on you would be surpised as to how little of a tree you can get them in. Believe me

    Good luck.
