    Default Deer Blind

I have had an ongoing discussion with a friend about deer blinds. I hunt on public land and I am very leary about leaving a blind setting out so, I normally make a natural blind if I can find the right cover to do so. If I was to buy a store bought blind and set it up and take it down every time I leave would the deer notice and avoid that area. I have always been told that you need to leave it out for at least a week so the deer could get used to it being there, but have never used one so I wanted to get your thoughts.

I would never leave a popup type ground blind out on public land...you might as well just walk up to a stranger and hand it over to them!

After having a few treestands stolen that were chained and locked on a tree I dont think that leaving a ground blind out there would be a wise choice
I have however bought a $10 piece of camo burlap and left that out there making the type of ground blind your talking about....have not had that stolen...yet.

I agree with you. That is why I have never used one. Just wondering if it would hurt to put it up and take it down every time I go out.

For gun hunting, I'd say it wouldn't be a problem. If you're trying to get deer within bow range, you'll probably need to leave it sitting there for a few days. If you do try to bow hunt out of it the same day you set it up, I'd suggest thoroughly brushing the blind in.

People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
