After just 1 week in hospital they gave Ken his "walking" papers this afternoon. Steve picked him up, along with a truck load of gadgets to help him maneuver around his place. Ken's church friends were still busy making it easier for him to get to his chair and bed and one is even installing a cabinet for him to store all his essentials. Steve made his bathroom a little more friendly to use too and he will have Home Care to take care of his injury during the weeks ahead.
Ken is really happy to be home and his faithful companion Rocky is simply thrilled. There is nothing like the comforts of home to speed healing but a prayer or two his way will still be greatly appreciated.

Anyone ever tried just sitting next to a tree? Unfortunatly i didnt have any luck from my stand today, and sitting in it from 3 30 am till 3 30 pm was the most painful and wasted time of my life lol!!!! I seen a doe, her fawn, and a huge bodied 6 point all within 20 yards. The fawn would not leave from underneath my stand so I finally just took one for the team and climbed down anyway. I passed on them all because I'm looking for a giant. Anyways back to hunting from the ground. I don't want to sit on anything because I would like to be able to kick back and relax against a nice big backstop. If anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it. Goin back in to try it in the morning. Thanks for you interest

I have not spent much time here this fall, I spent 23 days out west chasing elk. Drew a tag in Montana and purchased an otc elk tag in idaho. Here are the results, there is no doubt it was the most mental and physical challenge of my life. Had a blast, the wolf population is out of contol. I either saw or could hear them every day. First was my Mt bull, then 5 days later the Idaho bull. This was a DIY on Public ground, ton of other hunters close to the road. But 5 miles in it was only me and the wolf packs. The packing jobs were done by me on the first bull. I leared a lesson I asked for help on the second.

I'm guessing 2.5 years old, but he just looks a little older, maybe 3. I have no clue. The reason I ask, is that if he's a 3 year old I'm going to take him out of the gene pool next fall. But if he's younger, then will give him a pass.

His name is kicker 9.

Ok guys here's the story. Yesterday I had planned to get up early this morning and go hunting at our apple orchard down the road from our house. That plan didn't work out because I overslept, and didn't get out of bed until 5:30. I didn't get to my parents house where all my camo is until 6:00. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it to the stand I wanted to hunt because it was about to break light and the deer were probably too close to the stand. I decided I would wait until first light and sneak behind the house through the peach orchard to another stand. I make my way through the peach orchard really slow checking each row for deer. I'm about half way through the orchard when I see something white two rows ahead. I shoulder my gun and see its the piebald, and I don't have a shot at 50 yards. At this point all you can see is the top part of his back. I belly crawl about twenty feet and set my shooting sticks up, get my gun ready and pick a spot then BOOM! I see him spin around and I thought he ran away. Everything happened so fast I just rolled over on my back trying to get my composure. When I went over to check for blood there he was. He fell in his tracks! Words simply can't explain the emotion that came over me. I have been obsessed with this deer since I caught him on camera last January. I just got back from the taxidermist and he's gonna do a standing full body mount for me. In all he had 11 scorable points, and two small G4's that are about 3/4 " long so I'm gonna call him a 13pt.
I had him within 50 yards 2 different times and seen him 6 defferent times. He came out of the thicket in the wrong place (for him) this mornin cause at 60 yards he felt the boom stick he went about 50 yards and piled up im jus so pumped I took a nice 9 point on nov.14th with my bow and this stud of a 10 point with a gun I couldnt be more happy.

I was given two of these and only need one. I really like the one I have, but haven't even opened the other, it is still New in Box.

I will ship for $90.00.

(These images are snagged from the net, but are EXACTLY what I have...Just remember mine is the black case (one of the photos above shows the white case). Thanks)

I am looking forward throwing this in my pack and hunting, it is the same size as my cell phone. It holds up to 60 minutes of video (1 continuous video or several smaller ones) and has a rechargeable battery that is slick.

It is the black model, (one of the photos above shows the white model) It is New In Box...Not refurbished units or anything, but completely new. I opened the box on the first one and video'd a few sample clips playing with these, but I didn't open the one for auction, it is still sealed in factory box. I like the quality, I like the mobility, but I just don't need them both.
After videoing (which these hold up to 60 minutes of data and have digital zoom), you just plug into the USB on a PC or use the included video cable to plug into a TV. Very simple. The audio is surprisingly good for such a little device.

I took 2 videos with mine, one far away from the nose bleed seats that I seem to always buy...and the other from up close on the final pouring of my last brew. Uploaded to Youtube they still hold good quality and good sound (Youtube always loses some quality, played back on the TV both are a little better.)
Vid 1 (Far away): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INdwu6YUMfQ
Vide 2 (Close Up): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiHsUoiqbv0

I also will copy the factory specs of the FlipVideo Mino:

2GB flash based camcorder can record up to 60 minutes of video, with out the need for tapes, or SD cards

Built-in USB arm, acts like a typical USB flash drive, drag and drop

Simple camcorder, shooting video is as easy as taking a picture

Tripod mount, use any standard tripod for steady video

FlipShare built in software that makes it easy to organize, edit and share your videos on YouTube, MySpace, AOL Video, or any other online video service

Capable of playing back on a TV with the help from a composite cable

Included in the box:

F360 Flip Mino Camcorder

TV Cable

Wrist Strap

Soft Case

Quickstart Guide

I will ship for $90.00.
