our lobster season opens Monday

well guys, on Monday it will be time for me to head back on the ocean for another 6 month lobster fishery. As of now though, it is giving gale force winds for Monday and the season opener may be delayed until Tuesday. We will know tommorow.
Here is a couple of pics I took today while everyone was loading the boats with traps. The light colored boat in the first pic is the one I fish on.
The opener " dumping day" as we call it is the most dangerous day of the year, with all the boats loaded with traps heading out to the fishing grounds, sometimes guys get into trouble and capsize.

yup lewis its close now LOL I think you need a bigger boat LOL with pots on the wheel house LOL ... I hope if it blows monday it blows hard enough to keep us home that way we will go tuesday in fine weather (I hope ) if not and we go mondy I hope everyone has a safe season !! btw how many pots you guys got on??? we put 260

we have 300 traps loaded on and will put another 20 if it is going to be fine weather.
