    I have a minn kota 32 lb thrust on mine. I use a piece of 2x4 when mounting it on the side and it works just fine.

    I have a Motor Guide with an infinitely adjustable speed control. I think it's 36 pounds of thrust. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
