That certainly is valid whitetail hunting accuracy out to 50 yards. Do you reload or use factory ammunition? If you reload then you can tailor the load to the gun and increase the accuracy as you go. A 4-5" group at 50 yards with open sites is pretty darn good though...Keep up the good work.

Sounds like plenty of accuracy for stomping whitetails. Are you planning on hunting with it?

That's right on with the accuracy I am getting from my Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag with factory open sights(I am shooting consistant 2" to 3" groups shot single action, 3" to 4" groups firing double action). Being from Canada all I can do is target shoot as handguns aren't allowed for hunting up here.
