Maybe I should have elaborated a little.......

It's a Encore 50 cal muzzle loader. The scope is a Leupold 2X pistol scope.

The best shooting load I've come across is 60gr 3f 777 under a T/C mag sabot and a 240gr Hornady XTP. It'll shoot one ragged hole at 50yds while pushing that XTP around 1400fps.

Our ML season here in Indiana opens next weekend and this will be my primary weapon.

Thats a sweet pistol! I have been try'n to buy one almost identical to it w/o the scope for the last few years with out any luck. I allready own an Encore 209x50 black powder rifle as well as a .260 Rem barrel & a .22-250 barrel for it. But for some reason a .50 Cal Pistol is impossible to buy & import into Canada... .
So, how does it shoot? I am going to keep try'n to get one maybe someday the powers that be will let up a bit, it seems kinda funny to me that I was allowed to purchase a .44 Mag Redhawk but can't aquire an Encore Black Powder Pistol.

Hmmm...Another idea for the next firearm acquisition...A 50 cal Encore muzzleloading pistol...Nobody tell my wife.

T/C is now offering the pistol length ML barrels in stainless with fiber optic sights. I'll most likely ditch the scope and pick up a set of the fiber optic sights before next season.
